Yes, the rumors are true, I am speaking at two programs at ALA (not one as I mentioned on my prior post). The programs are:
NMRT’s President Program: International Insights for New Librarians (panelist)
Saturday, June 28 @ 1:30-3:30 p.m.
El Capitan room of the Hilton Anaheim
“Speakers from the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) will be discussing the library profession in Australia and the New Librarians’ Symposium in the international context. A member of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) will describe initiatives and programs of library associations around the globe, as well as review survey results from the New Librarians International Survey conducted in 2006. The panelists will also talk about their personal experiences as international librarians and answer any questions you have about becoming an international librarian.”
Monday, June 30 @ 1:30-3:30 p.m.
DIS Magic Kingdom 3
*I’ve been asked about receptions. It is important to keep our minds balanced. and network with colleagues. Check ALA’s wiki about Parties/Receptions.
